SEMC (the Southeastern Museums Conference) is one of the most influential regional gatherings for museum professionals in the U.S., bringing together leadership and staff from museums, historic sites, and cultural institutions across the Southeast for three days of learning, networking, and collaboration.

The 2026 Annual Meeting will be held in Winston-Salem, North Carolina — a city known for its deep cultural roots and strong arts ecosystem, including institutions like Wake Forest University and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA), as well as a revitalized downtown with a strong design and preservation community.
